Purpose
This Code of Conduct helps create a respectful, supportive, and productive learning
environment for all students and teachers at Empress English.
1. Respect
Students must treat teachers and other participants with courtesy, respect, and
professionalism at all times. Abusive, discriminatory, threatening, or inappropriate
behaviour will not be tolerated.
2. Attendance & Punctuality
Students should join lessons on time and notify Empress English as early as possible if they
need to cancel or reschedule. The Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy applies to all
bookings.
3. Participation
Students are encouraged to actively participate, complete assigned practice, and
communicate openly about their learning goals.
4. Online Learning Environment
Students should attend lessons from a quiet location with a stable internet connection, a
working microphone, and, where possible, a camera to support effective communication.
5. Academic Integrity
Students should complete their own work. AI tools, translators, or other resources may be
used for learning when appropriate but should not be presented as the student's own work
when completing assignments or assessments.
6. Lesson Recordings
Lessons may not be recorded, shared, or distributed without the prior written consent of
both the student and the teacher.
7. Lesson Materials
All lesson materials provided by Empress English are for the enrolled student's personal
educational use only and may not be copied, sold, published, or shared without written
permission.
8. Privacy
Students must respect the privacy of teachers and other students. Personal information
shared during lessons must remain confidential.
9. Breach of this Code
Empress English reserves the right to suspend or terminate lessons or refuse future
bookings where this Code of Conduct is seriously or repeatedly breached. Refunds will be
handled in accordance with the Refund & Credit Policy.
