Welcome to Empress English. By booking lessons, purchasing courses, or using our website, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully before using our services.

1. About Empress English

Empress English provides online English language instruction through live virtual lessons and educational resources. Our services are available to students worldwide.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing our website, booking a lesson, or purchasing any service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Policy.

If you are under the age of 18, a parent or legal guardian must make the booking and accept these Terms on your behalf.

3. Booking Lessons

Lessons may be booked through our website using the available booking system.

A booking is confirmed only after:

• Payment has been successfully completed through PayPal (where payment is required at the time of booking), or

• Written confirmation has been provided by Empress English.

Students are responsible for ensuring that all booking information is accurate.

4. Free Trial Lesson

Empress English offers one complimentary 30-minute trial lesson for new students.

The purpose of the trial lesson is to:

• Assess the student's English level.

• Discuss learning goals.

• Recommend the most suitable course or lesson plan.

• Allow the student to experience our teaching style before purchasing lessons.

Only one free trial lesson is available per new student.

5. Payment

Payments are securely processed through PayPal.

All prices displayed on our website are shown in the stated currency and must be paid in full before paid lessons begin unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Empress English does not collect or store your credit or debit card information.

6. Cancellations and Rescheduling

Students may reschedule or cancel a lesson by providing at least 24 hours' notice before the scheduled lesson time.

Requests made with less than 24 hours' notice may result in the lesson being considered completed and therefore non-refundable.

If Empress English needs to cancel or reschedule a lesson, an alternative lesson time will be offered at no additional cost.

7. Late Arrival

If a student arrives late:

• The lesson will still end at the scheduled time.

• Missed time cannot normally be extended.

If a student is more than 15 minutes late without prior notice, the lesson may be considered a no-show.

8. No-Show Policy

If a student fails to attend a scheduled lesson without notice, the lesson will normally be considered completed and is not eligible for a refund or replacement.

Repeated no-shows may result in suspension of future bookings.

9. Technical Issues

Students are responsible for having:

• A stable internet connection.

• A working microphone and camera.

• Access to Zoom.

• A quiet learning environment.

If technical issues occur on the student's side that prevent the lesson from taking place, the lesson may still be considered completed.

If technical issues occur on Empress English's side, we will reschedule the lesson at no additional cost.

10. Lesson Packages

Where lesson packages are offered:

• Packages are intended for the registered student only.

• Packages cannot be shared or transferred unless approved by Empress English.

• Any expiration date stated at the time of purchase will apply.

11. Student Responsibilities

Students agree to:

• Treat teachers respectfully.

• Participate in lessons appropriately.

• Provide accurate booking information.

• Complete payments on time.

• Avoid disruptive, abusive, discriminatory, or inappropriate behaviour.

Empress English reserves the right to end a lesson or refuse future services if unacceptable behaviour occurs.

12. Intellectual Property

All lesson materials, worksheets, presentations, videos, exercises, and website content remain the intellectual property of Empress English unless otherwise stated.

Materials are provided for the student's personal educational use only.

Students may not:

• Copy or distribute lesson materials.

• Upload materials to other websites.

• Sell or reproduce course content.

• Record lessons without prior written permission.

13. Disclaimer

While Empress English is committed to helping students improve their English skills, we cannot guarantee:

• Specific exam scores.

• Employment opportunities.

• Visa approvals.

• Academic admissions.

• Any particular learning outcome.

Individual progress depends on attendance, effort, practice, and other personal factors.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Empress English shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from the use of our website or services.

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by the student for the affected lesson or service.

15. Privacy

Your personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

16. Changes to Services

Empress English may update lesson content, pricing, schedules, website features, or these Terms & Conditions at any time.

Any updates will become effective once published on our website.

17. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws applicable to the jurisdiction in which Empress English operates, unless otherwise required by applicable consumer protection laws.
